Temporary Copywriter - Luxury Beauty - Extended at Industrial Color

Industrial Color is seeking an experienced Temporary Copywriter to support a luxury beauty client on an upcoming holiday campaign.

This is a short-term assignment for a writer with a strong background in luxury beauty and skincare, ideally someone who has developed campaign concepts as well as executed copy across multiple consumer touchpoints.

The ideal candidate is a strong conceptual thinker who can quickly understand an established brand voice and translate creative direction into elevated, compelling copy across digital and eCommerce channels.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the creative and eCommerce teams on the development and execution of a holiday campaign
• Develop campaign concepts, messaging territories, headlines, taglines and supporting copy
• Translate overarching campaign ideas into cohesive messaging across multiple consumer touchpoints
• Write and refine copy for eCommerce, landing pages, email, digital marketing, paid and organic social, promotional assets and other campaign materials
• Maintain a consistent, elevated luxury brand voice throughout the campaign
• Adapt messaging across formats while preserving the central campaign idea
• Collaborate closely with creative, marketing and eCommerce partners and respond quickly to feedback and revisions
• Work within established product positioning and approved skincare claims
• Proofread and edit copy to ensure accuracy, clarity and consistency

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional copywriting experience, preferably within beauty, skincare, fashion or another premium consumer category
• Strong portfolio demonstrating campaign concepting and execution
• Previous luxury and/or prestige skincare experience strongly preferred
• Experience writing across eCommerce and digital marketing channels
• Strong understanding of brand voice, storytelling and consumer-facing messaging
• Ability to move comfortably between high-level creative concepts and detailed executional copy
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment with short timelines
• Excellent communication, editing and proofreading skills

Assignment Details

Type: Temporary / project-based

Location: Remote; Los Angeles-based candidates preferred

Start: ASAP, ideally prior to October 1

Duration: Approximately several weeks, focused primarily on holiday campaign development and execution

The anticipated salary range for this role is $60 - 70 per hour. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience, and skills relative to the defined job requirements.

This is a hybrid role requiring flexibility to work in-office and remotely. Evening or weekend work may occasionally be required during major projects.
