About the Role

The Senior Software Engineer is a hands-on technical contributor embedded in our agile development organization, helping build and deliver our next-gen compliance platform. You bring the judgment and independence to take features from design through production-ready code, making sound technical decisions along the way and building software that fits cleanly into the team’s architecture.

You bring strong full-stack experience, anticipate future needs, mentor peers, and make decisions that minimize the cost of future change. You partner closely with your Product Manager and fellow engineers to turn product strategy into well-built, maintainable software.

What Your Ride Will Look Like

  • Write production-ready, well-tested, self-documenting code, and debug systematically across the areas you work in, using monitoring and observability data to guide stability and performance improvements.
  • Architect, write, and review reusable, testable, and efficient code following Clean Code / SOLID principles, and raise the bar on code quality, maintainability, and performance in the code you touch.
  • Understand your team’s architecture deeply, design new code to align with it, and apply a security lens to your own work and to peer reviews.
  • Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, performant applications across the full stack.
  • Contribute to front-end (Vue/Vuex) and back-end (.NET) development, helping establish and follow patterns and standards.
  • Own SQL query performance for the code you write and contribute to database design decisions.
  • Apply microservice and micro front-end architecture best practices.
  • Identify and pay down technical debt pragmatically, knowing when to refactor, when to rewrite, and when to leave well enough alone.
  • Share in DevOps responsibilities and champion observability tooling and practices.

Delivery & Ownership

  • Break your work into well-understood, properly prioritized pieces, and handle risk and ambiguity responsibly, including under pressure and shifting priorities.
  • Make realistic but ambitious commitments, deliver on them, and communicate blockers or cost overruns early, weighing cost and value in your own work and in your suggestions to others.
  • Help refine requirements and ensure you have the context to make good day-to-day decisions without constant escalation.
  • Participate in agile (Scrum/Kanban) ceremonies and help make them effective.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Communicate with clarity to both technical and non-technical audiences, making the complex understandable and trade-offs explicit.
  • Give and seek feedback proactively, and foster documentation and knowledge-sharing, including in structured async and remote-first workflows.
  • Help teammates overcome blockers, build strong relationships across the organization, and mentor others with openness and empathy.
  • Foster a culture of respectful disagreement, accountability, and continuous improvement to your team’s practices.
  • Collaborate across multiple time zones, ensuring remote teammates are included, unblocked, and aligned.

Product Partnership & Business Acumen

  • Partner with your Product Manager and teammates to help scope and sequence your work, balancing customer needs against technical realities.
  • Surface engineering constraints, risks, and opportunities early on the work you’re involved in.
  • Advocate for investment in platform health, developer experience, and quality alongside feature work.
  • Understand your team’s domain, strategy, and business model, connect it to broader market trends and the organization’s engineering strategy, and contribute to design decisions.

What You Bring (Required)

  • Several years of professional full-stack software engineering experience, with a clear philosophy on how to improve a codebase over time.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort in documentation, structured async workflows, technical writing, and remote-first practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of your work, deliver in fast-paced and ambiguous environments without loss of quality, and mentor peers.
  • Experience partnering with product management to deliver business outcomes.
  • Experience working across multiple time zones in a remote or hybrid environment.

Tech Stack

Front End

  • Development: Vue.js 2 or 3 / Vuetify / Vuex / Webpack
  • Testing: Jest / Vitest

Back End

  • Development: .NET Framework / .NET Core / .NET 7–8 / C#; REST API design and implementation
  • Data: MSSQL / SQL Profiler / Query Tuning
  • Testing: nUnit / Moq / AutoFixture

DevOps

  • Azure DevOps CI/CD (required)
  • Azure / Windows IIS / Linux Nginx

As a Senior Frontend Engineer on the squad, you’ll build and evolve the guest-facing booking experience in a modern React and TypeScript codebase, partnering with backend, product, and design to ship features that are fast, polished, and built to convert. You’ll work across the full booking journey, from checkout to the customization tools properties use to make the experience their own, applying modern e-commerce best practices and leaning on analytics and experimentation to guide what we build. There’s also plenty of room to shape an increasingly AI-ready experience and to help create entirely new offerings that properties can sell directly through the booking engine.

Our Booking Engine Team:

This role is part of the Booking Engine Squad, the team behind the guest-facing reservation experience that powers direct bookings for tens of thousands of Cloudbeds properties worldwide. Direct bookings are one of the most valuable channels we can win for a property, and we’re constantly building new and innovative ways to help them capture that demand, from richer customization to entirely new booking experiences. It sits on the revenue-critical path, so speed, reliability, and getting the details right directly shape whether a guest completes a booking. It’s one of our highest-leverage products, and if you want to own real software used around the world, this is a great team to build on.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Design, build, and evolve the guest-facing booking experience in React and TypeScript
  • Collaborate with product, design, and backend to plan, build, and ship features
  • Improve performance and conversion through profiling and experimentation
  • Lead discussions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including the frontend architecture group
  • Mentor teammates through pair programming and code reviews
  • Write clean, well-documented, thoroughly tested code, and champion accessibility across the team

What Sets You Up for Success:

  • 5+ years of web application development experience
  • Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript, TypeScript, and JavaScript frameworks (React preferred)
  • Strong command of HTML and CSS
  • Experience with API-driven design and development
  • Good product sense and empathy for our customers
  • Solid Git fundamentals, including workflows and actions
  • Strong knowledge of and a passion for software best practices, design patterns, and testing, including test automation across unit, integration, and end-to-end levels
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and collaboration, with a real sense of ownership and good time management
  • Passionate about agile practices and continuous improvement
  • Business-level English fluency, verbal and written
  • Experience identifying and improving application performance

Bonus Skills to Stand Out:

  • Experience with public-facing products and analytics tools like GA4
  • Experience building micro-frontends or web components
  • Familiarity with deploying and running web applications in the cloud (AWS a plus)
  • Experience working with AI coding tools like Claude Code
  • Experience working with a remote-first, globally distributed team
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and GitHub
  • Travel industry experience (a plus, but definitely not required!)

Depending on your skills and experience, you can expect your annual compensation to be between $140,000 and $160,000 USD. Please note that we maintain high flexibility, and packages above this range will be considered. ( The salary is only for US-based candidates).

Engineer Staff Software Engineer - AI Marketing - US (Remote) at Luxury Presence

Staff engineer leading AI-native platform architecture, shipping LLM-powered product features, and mentoring teams at a Series C real estate tech company.

Lead Remote Posted about 2 hours ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Luxury Presence is building the AI growth platform for real estate. Backed by Bessemer Venture Partners and other top investors, we’re a Series C company that has hit $100M in annual recurring revenue. More than 90,000 real estate professionals, including over 30% of the WSJ Real Trends top 100 agents in the United States, use us to run and grow their business.

The Opportunity

We don’t just use AI. We build with it, ship with it, and think with it. We’re in the top 1% of companies applying AI effectively, not just to our products, but to how we build them. With an unlimited budget for Anthropic tokens, our engineers use AI agents to write, review, and ship production code every day. We’re building toward a world where humans design systems and AI builds them, and we’re already further along that path than almost anyone else.

As a Staff Software Engineer, you’ll be a technical leader at the center of this transformation. You’ll shape platform architecture, drive AI-powered product delivery, and raise the bar for what a small, AI-augmented engineering team can accomplish. This is a role for someone who already lives in their terminal with AI, who has strong opinions about how AI changes system design, and who wants to help define what a next-generation engineering organization looks like.

Engineer Staff Software Engineer - AI Marketing - CANADA (Remote) at Luxury Presence

Staff engineer leading AI-native platform architecture, shipping LLM-powered features, and mentoring teams at a Series C real estate AI platform.
